Augmented Reality: Coming Soon to Websites!

More and more, we hear about augmented reality in the news. Whether it's Oculus Rift, Hololens or even our own smartphone, you'll see this technology be more and more present around us, and websites won't be an exception!

Google recently launched a video showing how augmented reality might be used on websites:  

But more concretely, augmented reality (and virtual reality) could be used for things such as: 

• Visiting a house/cottage for sale;
• Viewing art or any other object;
• Getting more information on an exposition while visiting a museum;
• Getting more information / promotions about products in store.

Of course, we're only in the begining, and to be able to use this technology, right now we need to install various applications on our computer / browser (not really usefull if you want to deploy it to everyone). That being said, in the near future, we should be able to use all these things directly in our browsers.
