Facebook announced at its F8 conference the arrival of Messenger chatbots.

Earlier this week, Mark Zuckerberg announced to developers present at its F8 conference the possibility to create chatbots for its Messenger application.

Facebook's API will allow companies to send information directly to their clients such as:

  • Weather updates;
  • Shipping updates for their order;
  • Promotions;
  • etc.

Using CNN's chatbot as a demonstration, we were able to see their robot answer some of our questions and offer articles linked to whatever we wanted to talk about.

Of course, a human beeing will always be able to take control of the chatbot and continue a more personnalized conversation with its client, but still, the chatbot is a great solution to quickly answer your customer's requests.

Will you be developing your own chatbot for your business?
