Tuesday, September 29, 2015

One of the functionalities included in Windows 10 is a usage report. This report allows parents to keep an eye on their kids use of the Internet and various applications.

Of course, lots of complaints have followed suit regarding teen privacy, so Terry Myerson at Microsoft announced changes on september 28th regarding privacy:

[...] all Windows 10 customers will receive an upcoming update to family features, with default settings designed to be more appropriate for teenagers, compared to younger children. Additionally, we're working on ways to further enhance the notifications that kids and parents get about activity reporting in Windows.

It's news like this that show the importance of sending your comments / complaints to your providers. The vast majority of companies will listen to what you have to say because their main goal is always to improve their services.
